Suit fabrics style

Men prefer custom suit these days due to the fit it provides. While getting a suit customised designs can be seen in any brochure or you can easily choose the appearance of your custom suit. Fabric is important part of getting custom tailoring . But we often ignore sometime we do cannot differentiate between good fabric and bad fabric other times we don't want to differentiate. We have explained few fabric pattern that you might opt for.

Stripes

Stripes are our first pattern. Usually patterns are less formal than soli colors and they mostly worn in more casual occasions.  Though exception to this rule is pin stripes, they give equally formal appearance as solid colours. Most common color for business wear pin strip suit is navy blue. There are other type of stripes too, that is chalk stripes. Chalk stripes are thicker in scale than pin stripes. Tailored trousers of dark colour pin stripes are preferred for formal occasions. Stripes makes the wearer look taller and look smarter.

Checks

Our next fabric style is check. Check are available in number of different styles but we suggest plaid checks at best. These checks have similar style to traditional Scottish clothes.  Checks in general are less formal then both stripes and solid colours. Another option in check is windowpane checks. It is bolder than normal check option. It is unusual to find full windowpane suits but using this pattern in sport jacket is more common option. Another type of checks are glenn checks, which is most common style for suits or most common jacket for men. These checks are most appropriate for semi formal occasions. It is always associated with country and weekend wear.

Conclusion

We have described most used and most preferred style of fabrics. Though these are not limited to this. There are other styles of patterns such as diagonal, argyle, paisley and madras. Also even checks are not limited to just styles, there are multiple style of checks available . These  other styles are not commonly worn by gentleman. While Choosing a fabric pattern many other things are considered such as ocassion, colors and kind of shirt you are pairing up with it. You also need to buy appropriate tie and other accessories to complete the look. A gentleman wearing suit makes effort to make it look seamless and perfect and appropriate thought must be paid to each details. Fabric pattern is a detail to be paid attention to.
